Edit: Darkened the shadows on the owl per zsabreuser's suggestion. It looks much more accurate now, plus it makes him spookier.

So I totally love drawing this guy now. I'm not even going to give him a name. He'll just forever be known as the owl. I found out while looking up stuff about great horned owls that their eyes can't move in their sockets. They have to turn their heads whenever they're looking at something. From here on, I'm going to draw his eyes looking straight forward, no matter the expression. That's such a neat detail, I like it.

I even started thinking about a story for him, and I think he'd be in the 26 witches world. As an owl, he's stuck with the same frowny look constantly. For him, this is a problem since he's found himself in love with a human girl. Every evening she feeds the birds outside her home while he watches in rapture. He longs more than anything to join them at her feet, but he knows how frightening he looks.
He tried bringing her a mouse once... didn't work out.

Haven't decided the circumstances of his human form yet.
